About Dr. Rana

Dr. Rana is a double board-certified neurologist who expanded her medical training by becoming certified in integrative and functional medicine after recognizing that conventional medicine often excels at crisis care but falls short in preventing and reversing chronic disease.

Through years of caring for patients with some of the most complex neurological conditions, she became fascinated by the growing science connecting the gut, brain, microbiome, nutrition, and lifestyle to long-term brain health.

Her work focuses on translating this emerging research into practical, evidence-based strategies that help people uncover root causes rather than simply manage symptoms.

Dr. Rana is also a cancer survivor, an experience that reinforced her belief that health extends far beyond prescriptions and procedures. It strengthened her passion for empowering people with the knowledge they need to take an active role in their health.

Through The Gutsy Brain MD, her mission is to challenge outdated medical silos, bridge the gap between conventional and integrative medicine, and inspire both patients and healthcare professionals to think differently about what is possible when we treat the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
